Pathways to Independence Service supports unaccompanied women over 50 years, who are experiencing homelessness or unstable or unsafe accommodation, within the Greater Sydney area. Women are supported in to safe and secure accommodation options, after often experiencing homelessness for the first-time following relationship breakdown, domestic and family violence, and job loss or unstable employment.

Charles Chambers Court - Residential Aged Care Home
Charles Chambers Court is a 100% concessional accredited residential aged care facility for 60 men and women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, or who have experienced financial or social disadvantage. Located in Surry Hills, NSW, the facility provides low-level residential care for those with Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) approval. A range of medical and allied health supports are available to all residents.

The home has a familiar household design with central home-style kitchens, social areas, and quiet spaces to relax. Care is tailored to specific needs, and residents live with up to 10 other people only. Female-only accommodation is available. Through an evidenced approach, care focuses on the individual, promoting dignity, comfort, choice, and safety. The care team receive regular training in trauma care and mental health first aid. Residents are offered a range of activities that promote physical and mental health. A personalised approach to care means that people are valued and respected in a place they belong. Residents have achieved a range of positive outcomes including decreased PTSD, maintained functioning, and improved overall wellbeing.
